Russia Sakhalin LNG Exports Up

Russia’s Sakhalin 2 LNG terminal has exported 5 million tonnes of LNG in the first half of 2013, up 38.5% compared to the same period last year, customs data shows.

LNG supplies from the Sakhalin project total about 4.5% of the global liquefied natural gas market.

In 2012, annual LNG export volumes of Sakhalin Energy increased by 3% yoy to 10.8 million tonnes. In 2011, exports amounted to 10.6 million tonnes.

Sakhalin Energy shareholders are Gazprom (50%), Shell (27.5%), Mitsui (12.5%) and Mitsubishi (10%).
