SCF Takes Delivery of New Product Tanker SCF Prudencia

On March 12th 2012, SCF Group delivered a new product tanker SCF Prudencia – a further ship for SCF’s joint venture with Glencore International AG, the world’s largest oil trader. With the addition of this latest vessel the joint venture fleet of SCF and Glencore, which was established in November 2010, now comprises nine LR1 Panamax product tankers.

Technical management of the tankers is being undertaken by SCF Unicom Singapore, a subsidiary of SCF Group.

The tankers of this series are modern double-hulled “Panamax” product-carriers of: 74,120 tonnes dwt; Length (LOA) – 228 m and have a moulded breadth of 32.2 m. The vessels can carry up to 12 types of oil cargoes simultaneously. The tankers’ enhanced technical specifications meet international navigational safety standards and conform to the technical requirements of modern oil products terminals.
