RVO.nl Opens TNW Geotechnical Survey Tender

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl) has issued a tender for geotechnical and ground model work at the North of the Wadden Sea Islands offshore wind farm zone.

The tender comprises two lots in which two companies will be selected to respectively carry out a geotechnical survey and develop an integrated ground model at the 700MW zone also known as Ten Noorden van de Waddeneilanden (TNW).

By awarding contracts to two parties, RVO.nl said it aims to improve the quality of the data provided and reduce the resources required to go from soil data collection to wind farm design. The objective is to conclude an agreement for each lot.

The deadline for submitting applications for the tender is 18 November by 2:00 p.m. local time.

North of the Wadden Sea Islands is part of the government’s Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap 2030 which sets out plans for the development of 7GW of offshore wind capacity in the 2024-2030 period.

In addition to this 700MW zone, the wind farms to be prepared in the coming years will be located at the 1.4GW Hollandse Kust (west) and the 4GW IJmuiden Far Offshore (IJmuiden Ver) zones.
