Saga Sapphire Failed to Complete Maiden Voyage Due to Engine Problems (Spain)

As reported by Maritime-Executive, the Saga Sapphire liner failed to complete its 16- day journey due to unpredicted engine troubles.

The newest ship of the UK based Saga Cruises’ was acquired late last year having been subjected to an extensive, four-month-long overhaul.

She was carrying passengers home from Valencia, Spain when a malfunction on one of the vessel’s two main engines appeared.

Reportedly, due to the inconvenience on the ship’s maiden voyage the company promised to refund the passengers and provide them with a discount for a future cruise.

All journeys scheduled for the upcoming period will be on hold for completion of the repair works on the vessel.
