Samsung Heavy Delivers Drillship Pacific Khamsin

Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), South Korea has delivered Pacific Drilling’s latest drillship, the Pacific Khamsin.

Pacific Khamsin, which features the most advanced drilling technology in the offshore drilling industry, is an upgraded Dual Load Path Samsung 12000 design dynamically-positioned Dual Gradient capable drillship able to operate in moderate environments and water depths of up to 3,657 m (12,000 ft) using 18%” BOP and 21″ OD marine drilling riser.
