The scope of work consists of providing accommodation support services for 200 people on board including catering services. The offshore duration of the contract will be 6 months starting from Q4 2015, with options to extend.

Jascon 25, Sea Trucks’ nominated vessel for this project, will be connected to the Ichthys Project’s floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel via its telescopic gangway 24 hours a day with the vessel continuously following the FPSO movements with its enhanced follow target system.

As for the FPSO mentioned, the keel was laid for the unit last week in the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard in Okpo, South Korea, where the FPSO is being constructed.

Once complete, the facility will be towed 5,600 km to the Ichthys Field in the Browse Basin, offshore Western Australia, where it will be permanently moored to the seabed for the life of the Project.

The 336 m by 59 m FPSO is designed to hold more than one million barrels of condensate, which will be offloaded periodically to crude oil tankers and shipped directly to market.

Work is underway for all major Ichthys LNG Project offshore facilities, including the Central Processing Facility, subsea structures and the Gas Export Pipeline.
