The plane disappeared on Saturday with 239 people abroad.

The authorities suspect that the Flight MH370 changed its route, so the search for the plane has been widened to Malacca Strait and the Andaman Sea.

As BBC reports, around 40 ships and 34 aircrafts are included in the search offshore Vietnam and Malaysia.

The search area has been extended to 100 nautical miles from the last known location of the plane.

Until now none of the debris and oil slicks spotted in South China Sea and Malacca Strait have proved to be connected to the missing plane.
