    A Singapore-flagged tanker, ‘York’, was confirmed pirated in the Somali Basin on the morning of October 24 by the European Union Naval Force Somalia (EU NAVFOR). The ‘York’ had recently left Mombasa, Kenya, on route to the Seychelles. The vessel was attacked on October 23 by two skiffs, approximately 50 nautical miles east from Mombasa.
