Seatronics inks rental agreement with Neptune Oceanographics

Business & Finance

Seatronics Ltd, an Acteon company, has signed a rental agreement with Neptune Oceanographics, a provider of the detection of leaks in subsea pipelines, risers and control systems.

This agreement now gives Seatronics access to Neptune’s range of leak detection systems globally. Neptune offers four leak detection methods – fluorescence long range; passive acoustics; differential temperature; and gaseous hydrocarbon detection – for both pipeline systems and seabed seepage.

Phil Middleton, group managing director, Seatronics, said: “With the addition of the Neptune range of leak detection systems to our portfolio we can focus on delivering everything on the ROV. There is great potential in the opportunities this agreement will offer.”

Chris Teal, director, Neptune Oceanographics, said: “The rental agreement between Neptune and Seatronics is another positive step in the continuous development of our global subsea pipeline leak detection services. We are confident that the agreement will add significant value for both companies.”

Seatronics said that the Neptune leak detection systems will complement their current offerings in the business of the marine technology rental industry.
