SGD Logistika, Bomin Linde LNG revise JV agreement

SGD Logistika, the unit of Klaipedos Nafta, amended its joint venture agreement with Bomin Linde LNG.

The two companies agreed on the terms of the joint operation of the LNG vessel, with SGD Logistika holding 10 percent stake in the JV and Bomin Linde LNG owning the majority 90 percent stake, Klaipedos Nafta said in its statement on Friday.

The vessel chartered by the joint venture will provide LNG fuel to clients of Bomin Linde LNG both at sea and in the Klaipėda port, offer transportation of LNG from the Klaipėda LNG terminal to the small-scale liquefied natural gas reloading station in the Klaipėda port and will also transport LNG to terminals in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.

The time-charter agreement will soon be firmed up, Klaipedos Nafta said.

Klaipedos Nafta, the operator of the Lithuanian LNG terminal in Klaipeda port is constructing a small-scale onshore LNG reloading station which will be operational from the second half 2017. The facility will have 5,000 cubic meters storage capacity and will be equipped with two LNG truck loading bays, will enable LNG reloading to small-scale LNG vessels.

In 2015, Klaipedos Nafta and Bomin Linde LNG signed a memorandum of understanding aiming to jointly develop the LNG fuel market, including the necessary infrastructure in Baltic Sea.

SGD Logistika was created by Klaipedos Nafta in November last year to operate the LNG bunkering vessel at the Port of Klaipeda.
