Shell: 2013 LNG Sales Down 3 Percent (VIDEO)

Shell said on Thursday its equity LNG sales volumes of 19.64 million tonnes in 2013 were 3% lower than in 2012, mainly reflecting lower volumes from Nigeria LNG due to reduced feedgas supply.

Excluding the impact of the challenging operating environment in Nigeria, equity LNG sales volumes were in line with 2012, according to Shell.

Shell’s LNG sales volumes of 4.93 million tonnes for the fourth quarter 2013 were 10% lower than in the same quarter a year ago.

The company’s fourth quarter 2013 earnings were $2.2 billion compared with $7.4 billion in the same quarter a year ago.

Full year 2013 earnings were $16.7 billion compared with $27.2 billion in 2012.
