Shell Extends Contract for KS Energy's Accommodation Unit (UK)

Singapore’s KS Energy Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Atlantic Rotterdam Limited, will continue its existing bareboat charter contract worth up to EUR 3 million for its jack-up offshore accommodation rig Atlantic Rotterdam for another 6 months.

This is an extension to the contract signed with Shell in June 2011 for the Atlantic Rotterdam (formerly Pride Rotterdam) rig to be deployed for the UK sector of the North Sea.

The rig, designed and built by IHC Gusto BV, 73.07 x 68.58 x 7.62 m (overall dimensions), with the legs height of 104.55 m. The Atlantic Rotterdam, accommodating up to 140 persons, equipped with Sikorsky S61N capable helideck, may work at water depths up to 62.48 m, with leg penetration of up to 4.57 m and air gap of 42.07 m.

This contract extension is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings per share and net tangible assets per share of the Company for the financial year ending 31 December 2012,” said KS Energy in a press release.
