Shell Nigeria Lifts Force Majeure on Gas Supplies to NLNG

Shell’s Nigerian operation has lifted a force majeure on gas supplies to the NLNG export terminal.

People had drilled a hole in the line. The leak has now been fixed and gas supplies have resumed,” Reuters cited Precious Okolobo, a spokesman for Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria as saying.

He also added that the cause of the pipeline leak was sabotage.

Nigeria LNG Limited is a jointly owned enterprise in the following proportions: Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) owns 49%, Shell Gas B.V. owns 25.6%, Total LNG Nigeria Ltd owns 15% and Eni International owns 10.4%.
