Ship Breaker Dies in Explosion in Bangladesh

One worker died and two were injured in a gas pipeline blast at a ship breaking yard in Chittagong district, Bangladesh, according to local media.

The workers were cutting iron sheets inside the yard at around 9:30 am local time Tuesday, when a gas cylinder burst and exploded.

The injured men were transported to the Chittagong Medical College and Hospital by their co-workers, where one of them, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead, while the other two workers were treated for serious burn injuries.
