Shippers to Cooperate on North to South America Link

CSAV Group, Hapag-Lloyd, Hamburg Süd, Aliança and NYK have reached an agreement to jointly operate in the trade between the East Coast of North America and Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.

The two services separately operated by the lines will be replaced by a single string with seven 5500 TEU vessels featuring increased reefer capacity.

The new set up is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2014, subject to regulatory approval.
