The Siem Pearl vessel will be supporting a semi-submersible rig during a P&A campaign in the North-West European area and is expected to mobilise during July, Siem said on Thursday.

As there is a scarcity of AHTS term contract opportunities in the North Sea, Siem said it is pleased to secure utilization of the vessel into the fourth quarter, as well as being entrusted with confidence in a competitive market.

PSE Kinsale Energy is conducting a decommissioning campaign at its operated Kinsale gas fields located offshore Ireland in the Celtic Sea.

Stena Spey, a Stena Drilling-owned semi-submersible rig, arrived on the field in April 2021. The subsea wells abandonment campaign was scheduled to start between 22 – 24 March 2021 and it is expected to continue until November 2021.

In April 2021, PSE Kinsale Energy started preparing for decommissioning of subsea infrastructure at Kinsale fields, using the Deep Discoverer DSV.

When it comes to Siem Offshore’s vessel, the 2009-built Siem Pearl has low fuel consumption, low emissions, maximum safety protection for cargo and crew. It is designed for towing and anchor handling, deep water inspection- and construction work. The vessel is equipped with a high capacity gantry crane for anchor and cargo handling.
