Sinopec Wraps Up Its First ROV Project

China’s Sinopec Offshore Oilfield Services Company (SOOSC) has recently completed its first deepwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) project.

The scope of the project was to patrol 113 kilometers of subsea pipelines at a depth of 1,400 meters.

According to Sinopec’s press statement, the pipeline survey was carried out for the Canadian company Husky Energy.

In China Husky Energy holds 49 per cent interest in the Liwan gas project, the company’s first deepwater gas project in the country.

Liwan consists of three natural gas fields: Liwan 3-1, Liuhua 34-2 and Liuhua 29-1, which share a subsea production system, subsea pipeline transportation and onshore gas processing infrastructure.
