Six Pella-Built Tugboats Reach Their Destination

The ferry trip of the six tugboats onboard the’ HHL Lagos’ of Hansa Heavy Lift company from Germany has completed successfully. The tugboats built by Russian Pella shipyard have been delivered to the port of Vladivostok.

The ferry trip was accomplished through the Northern Sea Route and lasted for 32 days.

The six tugboats are as follows: two marine tugboats of project PE-65 “MB-92” and “MB-93” (building No. 503 and 504) and four tugboats of projects 16609 “RB-402”, “RB-403”, “RB-404”, “RB-405” (building No. 621, 622, 623, 624) that were built at shipyard “Pella” in 2013.

In ten days, the tugboats will be discharged from the HHL Lagos and then the vessels will be delivered to the Auxiliary Fleet of the Russian Navy and put into operation within the Russian Pacific Fleet.

The tugboats are intended for towing and berthing operations in harbor and coastal areas which comply with R2 navigation area (not more than 100 miles from place of shelter), performing of escort operations at the speed of 10 knots, refloating of ships and vessels, fire fighting operations at floating and shore objects, oil and petroleum content products, cargo transportation, ice breaking and rescue and special purpose operations as well.
