Skangas to supply LNG to NNH

Skangas, a unit of Gasum, and Norilsk Nickel Harjavalta (NNH) signed a deal on the supply of LNG to the Harjavalta Industrial Park, Finland.

NNH will buy the chilled gas for the production of hydrogen used in its production processes as well as for energy production, Gasum said in a statement issued on Tuesday.

This agreement will result in NNH replacing heavy fuel oil and naphtha usage with LNG.

The chilled gas will be delivered to the Harjavalta plant by road tanker from the Skangas Pori LNG terminal to be completed in autumn 2016.

NNH will have an LNG reception terminal and storage tank constructed at the Harjavalta Industrial Park. Before being used, LNG will be regasified on the site.
