Skangass Names New MD

Tor Morten Osmundsen takes over as Managing Director of Skangass AS, replacing Bjørn Torkildsen. The change is being made as a consequence of the company’s transition to a new phase, with a stronger commercial focus.

“I have been in charge of Skangass through the development phase, during which we have managed the successful implementation of complicated technical investments, including the LNG plant at Risavika, the reception terminal at Øra and, most recently, at Lysekil.

“This, together with the strong contract portfolio that has been put together, provides a solid foundation for future earnings. Going forward, the focus will primarily be on the commercial exploitation of our investments in the infrastructure and in our customer portfolio. Thus, I think it is natural for others to take the baton and lead the company forward,” says Bjørn Torkildsen.

Tor Morten Osmundsen has been hired as the new Managing Director, initially for a period of 6 months. He will start immediately.

Tor Morten (53) is an MBA with 30 years of management and international experience from Statoil (6 years), ABB (Norway and internationally 11 years) and, most recently, Laerdal Medical (11 years), where he was CEO from 2006 to 2012.
