Songa Offshore Provides July Fleet Update (Norway)

An international offshore drilling company, Songa Offshore, today released the fleet update for the month of July.

Songa Venus achieved an operating efficiency of 100% during the month. The rig continues to operate for Petronas Carigali in Malaysia. Petronas exercised the 1 year optional contract during the month securing continued work for the rig in Malaysia until Q3 2013. The rig is currently undergoing a scheduled 14 day Intermediate Survey Inspection (UWILD) program in Labuan Malaysia before returning back into operation.

Songa Mercur is currently in transit to Trinidad with estimated arrival 15 August. The rig will then undergo contractual preparations work for startup of its previously announced contract with Zarubezhneft in Cuba in Q4 2012.

Songa Dee achieved an operating efficiency of 99% during the period continuing working for Statoil on the Gulfaks field.

Songa Delta achieved an operating efficiency of 99% during the operational part of the period, operating under the Wintershall / Det Norske Oljeselskap contract farmed out to Suncor. The rig arrived CCB 28 July and is currently undergoing its scheduled rig upgrade program prior to entering into its 4+1 year contract with Statoil under direct Songa Offshore management.

Songa Trym achieved an operating efficiency of 99% during the period operating for Statoil at the Troll field. The rig is currently scheduled to arrive CCB yard outside Bergen mid August for a scheduled SPS (Special Periodic Survey) and rig upgrade program prior to entering into its 3+2 year contract with Statoil under direct Songa Offshore management.

Songa Eclipse continued its contract with Total E&P Angola and achieved an operating efficiency of 90% during the operational part of the month.
