South Hook liquefied natural gas import terminal on the UK’s shores of Milford Haven waterway is scheduled to receive a cargo of Qatari LNG at the end of August.

Milford Haven Port Authority data shows that one of the world’s largest LNG tankers, the 266,000 cbm Mozah, is scheduled to arrive at South Hook on August 30.

It will be the second Q-Max vessel to deliver liquefied natural gas to the terminal in a period of five days, as another 266,000 cbm carrier, Al Mafyar, is scheduled to unload on August 25.

Gas supply from the South Hook LNG terminal to the UK’s national grid was around 37 mcm/day on Tuesday morning, according to the latest National Grid data.

The South Hook terminal owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total can process 15.6 million tons of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
