South Korea - Vroon Takes Delivery of New Tanker

Vroon Shipping announced that today, Wednesday 16 November 2011, company took delivery of Iver Blessing, a 6,187-ton asphalt/oil/chemical tanker. The vessel was constructed at the Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, Ulsan, South Korea and is the last in a series of four vessels to have been built at the Dockyard.

A further two 6,255-ton asphalt/oil/chemical tankers, constructed to ice-class requirements, are currently on order at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and are scheduled for delivery in 2012.

In a ceremony held in Korea on 5 October, the vessel was named by Mrs Mette Olin Behnke, wife of Mr Christian Behnke, Senior Relationship Manager, Danish Ship Finance.

The vessel will be operated by Iver Ships B.V. in Barendrecht, the Netherlands and will be employed in the Far East.
