CECV Members Visit Sagunto LNG Plant

Members of the Energy Cluster Valencia (CECV), led by their president Francisco Segura, have visited the Sagunto regasification plant to meet more fully the characteristics of the infrastructure and explore possible synergies between the companies cluster. In the tour of the installations, have been accompanied by the director general of the plant, Santiago Álvarez.

Saggas, with major energy companies, belongs to Energy Cluster Valencia which has among its key strategic objectives to promote innovation of valencian companies in the energy sector; improve its competitiveness; contributing to the rational use of energy; promote the realization of projects R&D; achieve international projection and implementation of associated companies and increase the presence in the economy sector of the Valencian Community.

The Cluster also involved the Valencian Energy Agency and the ITE (InstituteofEnergy Technology) and many SMEs in the sector.

Currently, the Sagunto plant has a storage capacity of 600,000 m3 and 1,000,000 m3 / h. in regasification. The facility, ready to serve up to 25% of the demand for natural gas in Spain, is owned by Union Fenosa Gas, RREEF Alternative Investments, Osaka Gas UK and Oman Oil Holdings Spain.
