SpectraSensors to Exhibit at World LNG Fuels Conference

SpectraSensors to Exhibit at World LNG Fuels Conference

SpectraSensors, the world’s leading manufacturer of optically-based moisture analyzers for trace moisture measurement will participate in the World Liquid Natural Gas Fuels Conference, in Houston, Texas on January 21-23.

SpectraSensors will be displaying its Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) moisture analyzers that are being utilized globally in LNG and natural gas processing plants.

SpectraSensors TDL analyzers are the ideal solution for monitoring sub ppm levels of moisture in Desiccant Dryer Outlets. The non-contact laser and detector are impervious to damage from contaminants. Tunable Diode Laser technology means that measurement interferences from other infrared absorbing compounds are avoided. There are no wet-up or dry-down delays, resulting in fast updates even when the concentration changes dramatically.

Only SpectraSensors employs Differential Spectroscopy in trace moisture measurement, which incorporates a dryer to subtract the spectrum of the dry gas from the wet spectrum. This allows the analyzer to measure to extremely low levels and in streams whose background gas compositions may change.

As a result many natural gas plant managers are turning to SpectraSensors TDL analyzers as the answer for fast, accurate readings with virtually no maintenance costs.

Keynote speakers for the conference will include Doug Suttles, President & CEO, Encana Corporation and legendary investor T. Boone Pickens. As President & CEO of Encana Corporation, Mr. Suttles leads one of North America’s largest natural gas producers. A strong proponent for expanding the market for natural gas in North America, Doug will provide his views on the current opportunities for increased use of natural gas in heavy-duty transportation and industrial applications.

T. Boone Pickens created one of the country’s largest independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies, Mesa Petroleum, then founded the highly successful investment fund, BP Capital. In 2008, he authored the “Pickens Plan” which has spurred a grass-roots campaign to reduce U.S. dependence on OPEC oil.
