Spectrum of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International’s newest ship custom built for the Chinese market, made its debut in China on June 3.

The first Quantum Ultra Class ship sailed into Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal in Shanghai after completing a 46-night Global Odyssey that spanned 17 cities.

In honor of Spectrum arriving to its new home, the cruise line held a grand naming ceremony with Chinese celebrities and Royal Caribbean brand ambassadors.

Starting from this June, the newbuild will homeport from Shanghai. In winter this year, Spectrum of the Seas will reposition to Hong Kong.

Spectrum of the Seas features a length of 347.1 meters and a width of 41.4 meters. The Bahamas-flagged vessel altogether has 18 decks and can accommodate 4,246 passengers and 1,551 crew members.

Being the 26th vessel in Royal Caribbean’s fleet, it is the fourth ship in the Quantum class, apart from its three sister ships, Quantum of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas.
