In today’s spotted we decided to show you the Port Canaveral’s Cruise Terminal 5 in Florida that underwent a USD 48.38 million major makeover. Opened this past weekend, it hosted the cruise ship Carnival Valor, operated by Carnival Cruise Line.

The improvements include an expanded terminal, a 120-foot longer pier, a new 1,044-space parking garage, and new mobile passenger boarding bridges.

Renovation of this 1991-built terminal began in August to allow it to handle ships carrying up to 3,500 passengers, up from its previous capacity of 2,500.

Next to Carnival Valor, Carnival Sunshine will also berth at the terminal as well as Carnival Victory.

Port Canaveral is also upgrading its Cruise Terminals 10 in order to ready it for handling of larger ships.
