SSGC to build second LNG terminal

Sui Southern Gas Company plans to build the second LNG terminal at Port Qasim, and according to the managing director of SSGC, Shoaib Warsi, the company will issue a tender by the end of the month.

As the regional gas distributor expects, the terminal should be completed in 24 months, with Warsi telling The News that it will be an FSRU similar to the one being developed by Engro.

The initial capacity of the second LNG terminal would be around 200 million cubic feet of the chilled gas.
