Stabilis Energy, the North American LNG supplier opened its 40,000-gallon liquefied natural gas fuel depot in Odessa, Texas.

Steve Stump, vice president of sales at Stabilis Energy said the fuel depot will serve the company’s existing West Texas customers.

“In addition to installing the fuel depot, Stabilis continues to evaluate LNG production opportunities in West Texas,” said Jim Reddinger, president and CFO of Stabilis Energy.

The Odessa facility adds to the 120,000-gpd LNG production facility in George West, Texas that opened in January 2015 to service industrial and oilfield customers in the state and the greater Gulf Coast region.

The company has earlier this month completed the acquisition of Prometheus Energy a provider of turnkey natural gas fueling solutions to the gas utility, industrial, power, pipeline and energy sectors in North America.

Prometheus will operate as the independent LNG distribution unit of Stabilis and provide mobile and stationary LNG solutions to industrial, utility, pipeline, high-horsepower and other remote customers.
