Steelhead LNG adds experience to leadership team

Steelhead LNG, a Vancouver-based LNG project developer, added two new members to the company’s executive team. 

Paul Sullivan, formerly senior vice president of global LNG and floating LNG (FLNG) at Worley Parsons Group, has been appointed vice president, projects. The company has also named Gerry Peereboom as vice president, integration.

Sullivan brings over 25 years of experience in managing LNG import and export projects. He previously led the FEED group at BG (now part of Shell) , where he was involved in the development, from concept to implementation, of the company’s liquefaction and regasification projects, including the Atlantic LNG project in Trinidad and Tobago.

Speaking of his appointment, Sullivan said he would oversee the next phase of development of the company’s At-Shore LNG export projects.

To remind, Steelhead LNG is proposing to develop the Sarita LNG, and Malahat LNG projects in British Columbia, Canada.

Gerry Peereboom brings over 38 years of experience to Steelhead LNG, according to the company’s statement. He worked on a number of oil, gas and LNG projects for for companies such as Noble Energy, BP and Amoco.

He served as president of Atlantic LNG in Trinidad when it was developed for BP/Amoco in the mid-1990s. He then served as president of Tangguh LNG for BP, based in Indonesia.

At Steelhead LNG, Peereboom will lead the schedule, risk assessment and risk mitigation across the company, while playing a key role in the ongoing structuring of the midstream and interface with Steelhead LNG’s upstream partner, Seven Generations Energy.

He will also oversee the development and application of Steelhead LNG’s environmental stewardship practices.

Both Sullivan and Peereboom will be based out of Steelhead LNG’s corporate headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia.
