Stirling offers safety course for Oil & Gas pros

Stirling Group, a company specializing Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) services with the head office in UAE, is offering a new course tailored specifically to meet the needs of those with safety responsibilities and duties within the oil & gas industry.

The organization has recently been approved to deliver the NEBOSH International Technical Oil and Gas Certificate course as well as having its approval renewed to provide the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).

Mike Palmer, Stirling Group’s global head of workforce development, said: “Safety of the workforce must be an absolute priority for the oil & gas industry and achieving and maintaining best practice in this area is vital for operators.

“Our HSE curriculum is continually being tailored to meet the exact needs of the oil & gas sector. We provide genuine experts in their field to host our courses and equip those attending with the relevant knowledge and skills to ensure they are fully trained to the highest possible standards in safety.”

The oil & gas certificate focuses on international standards and management systems. Stirling promises that its course ensures candidates can achieve and maintain workplace safety aims, both onshore and offshore. The importance of process safety and risk management is a key element of the single unit course, the company has said.

It added that due to the previous successful delivery of the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), the accreditation has been extended for a further three years. Last year Stirling Group had a high success rate for all participants involved in the last IGC delivered in Kurdistan, with 100% passing IGC3 being the highlight, Stirling further explains.

The NEBOSH qualifications are part of the wide range of courses within each of Stirling Group’s service lines offering training across the oil and gas spectrum, from English language skills, incident management, business continuity, well drilling, to advanced firefighting.

Stirling has offices in in UK, Kurdistan, Algeria, Iraq, Malaysia, Australia.
