Storm granted FTA export permission by DOE

The U.S. Department of Energy has granted Storm the permission to export LNG to FTA countries for a period of 25 years.

Storm applied for the permit seeking to export 28.21 Bcf/year.

Storm has proposed a project in Florida that would use the modular LNG units, similar to LNG in a box developed by General Electric, stands in the DOE statement. No new facilities will be added according to Storm, but with the demand rise it would be able to add more units that can produce 500 to 5,00 gallons of LNG per day, each.

The gas would be liquefied and loaded directly to ISO approved containers for immediate shipment to customers, stands in the DOE statement.
