Sweden: GEO Consulting E.ON on Wind Energy Project

GEO is presently carrying out engineering consultancy for E.ON Vind Sverige AB regarding the installation of ’MPI Discovery’ jack-up vessel at Kårehamn wind farm.

The 6 legs vessel, 140 m long and 40 m wide, will be installing the wind turbines over the gravity foundations already present. As the seabed is full of boulders and stones and very hard, construction of gravel beds is required at each of the leg foundations.

GEO is applying conventional and finite element design aiming for a safe and cost effective solution.
