Taiwan: April LNG Imports Drop

Taiwan imported 982,413 m of LNG in April, down 11.6% from the same month a year before, according to trade statistics.

Most of the April LNG came from Qatar and Malaysia, followed by Nigeria, Indonesia, Australia and Egypt.

The country’s average LNG import cost in April was $15.348/MMBtu, a rise of 10.2% from April 2012.

Taiwan has two LNG import terminals, Yung An and Taichung liquefied natural gas terminal.
