Talisman to Use Rowan Stavanger Jack-up on Rev Field

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has given consent to Talisman Energy Norge AS  for the use of the Rowan Stavanger jack-up rig for production drilling. The consent relates to drilling of production wells on the Rev field in production licence 038C. Water depth at the site is 87 metres.

Talisman is expected to start drilling between 5 and 15 May 2012. The estimated duration of the activity is approx. 70 days.

Rowan Stavanger is a jack-up facility, class KFELS N, delivered in 2011 by Keppel FELS Shipyard in Singapore.

Rev is a gas-condensate field located close to the border between the Norwegian and British sectors, four kilometres south of the Varg field. The field is developed with three subsea gas producers connected to the Armada field on the British continental shelf. First production from the field began in 2009.
