Tanzania Launches Offshore Licensing Round

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania  has  through Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) announced the launch of 4th Tanzania Offshore Licensing Round.

The Bidding Round covers seven Deep Offshore Blocks and the Lake Tanganyika North Offshore Block. The Deep Offshore Blocks are located in water depths of 2,000 to 3,000 m. The Lake Tanganyika North Block is located in water depth of up to 1,500m.

The deep offshore blocks are well-covered by recently acquired regional 2D seismic data, which can be viewed during the conference in Dar es Salaam at the TPDC, ION- GXT and WestemGeco data rooms from 23rd to 31st October 2013. Data viewing will continue at ION-GXT in Houston, Texas, Western Geco in UK and TPDC offices in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
