TDW Completes Pipeline Isolation Project for Origin Energy (Australia)

TDW Offshore Services (TDW) announced the completion of the pipeline isolation project for Origin Energy, Energy Business Review informed.

TDW’s SmartPlug pressure isolation tool was deployed on a project in Australia for a total of 299 days.

The isolation process was needed to safely perform the heavy lifting operations to install a new 600 ton accommodation module for Yolla Mid Life Enhancement (MLE) project.

TDW’s Asia Pacific regional business development manager Rolf Gunnar Lie was quoted as saying: “By safely isolating the Yolla A Platform from hydrocarbons, Origin was able to successfully install the extensive living quarters, secure in the knowledge that the work was being completed under safe working conditions.”

During the process TDW also replaced an emergency shutdown valve.
