Technip’s fourth quarter profit jumps

Paris-based LNG engineer Technip posted a fourth quarter 2015 net income of €102 million, 27.3 percent up on the €80.1 million in the same quarter 2014. 

The company’s revenue rose 10.7 percent to €3.1 billion from €2.8 billion in 2014, a financial report issued on Thursday reveals.

Order intake was €2.8 billion in the fourth quarter with a backlog of €17 billion.

Technip noted that during the quarter, construction of process modules for the Yamal LNG project continued in China, while it also progressed the integration following the installation of the turret mooring system and the 135-meter flare onto the Prelude FLNG hull in South Korea.
