Danish shipping company, Terntank Rederi informed it has taken delivery of its second LNG-powered newbuild at AVIC Dingheng Shipbuilding in China.

The 15,000 DWT chemical tanker named Ternfjord departed from the shipyard to load a cargo from far east for delivery to Europe, the company said in its statement.

Once it arrives in Europe, the vessel will be deployed in Norway under a time charter deal with ExxonMobil. It is set to distribute refined oil products from ExxonMobil’s refinery in Slagentangen, Norway.

Terntank has recently taken delivery of its first chemical tanker, the Ternsund that has started serving under its time charter deal with Finnish North European Oil Trade (NEOT) distributing refined oil products from the company’s refinery in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The shipping company has two other vessels under construction at the Chinese shipyard scheduled for delivery by end 2016 and beginning of 2017.
