Thailand: Jan LNG Imports at 142,666 mt

Thailand imported 142,666 mt of liquefied natural gas in January, according to trade statistics.

Avarage LNG import prices in January were at $15.78/mmBtu.

The country received one cargo from Yemen and one from Peru in January.

Thailand has only one LNG terminal, which is located at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong province, and it joined the club of LNG importing countries with the completion of the terminal in May of 2011.

The Map Ta Phut terminal has a five-million-ton regasification train with two 160,000m³ LNG storage tanks, a jetty, a boil-off gas recondensor, a send-out station and an LNG pump.
