The Netherlands: Anthony Veder Extends Contract with MirTac

After operating StarIPS for 4 years on more than 15 vessels, Anthony Veder and MirTac have expanded the fleet wide implementation of the STAR IPS Fleet Management Software on Anthony Veder’s newly acquired ships.

The former system was successfully converted to StarIPS and optimized to achieve the same level of efficiency and control as maintained by the rest of the fleet.

Anthony Veder uses StarIPS to manage onboard processes and procedures, such as maintenance planning, stock control, vessel administration and document control. The vessels communicate seamlessly with the office and vice versa, resulting in transparent and efficient fleet management whilst meeting all safety, environmental, health and customer regulations such as ISM and ISPS.

Anthony Veder is one of the few tanker owners totally dedicated to the transport of liquefied gas. Established in 1937 and based in the Port of Rotterdam, Europe’s largest port, Anthony Veder is involved in all aspects of gas transportation, including liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), petrochemicals and Carbon Dioxide (CO2). Innovation has always been at the heart of the company and they were the first tanker firm to introduce a purpose-built CO2 vessel in 1999. The safety of crew and environment in which they operate, are always of prime concern to Anthony Veder. Safety management is taken very seriously throughout the organisation and procedures are continually updated.
