Ferus Smit Shipyard Floats Out MV Vlieborg

On Wednesday, August 29th, yard No. 407 m.v. Vlieborg has been launched at Shipyard Ferus Smit at Westerbroek.

The Vlieborg, having following dimensions: l.o.a. 142.65 m, beam 15.87 m, deadweight 12.000 tons, hold volume 503.500 cft, is the second unit in a series of three ships to be built for Royal Wagenborg.

These ships are the biggest ever launched at the Ferus Smit Westerbroek location and along the Winschoterdiep. The Vlieborg will be equipped with a main engine delivering 3000 kW to a ducted propeller.

The expected delivery is said to be mid October.
