Tieshan Port Development Plan Makes Progress

Recently, CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. and CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. have respectively won the bid for Section II and I of the hydraulic works of Berth 1 and 2 in Shitoubu operation zone of Tieshan Port in Beihai, Guangxi, with a total contract value of 292 million yuan.

The project of the berths in Shitoubu operation zone of Tieshan Port involves two 100000t general marginal berths in gravity caisson structure, with a total coastline of 590 meters. With a contract value of 138 million yuan and a construction period of 18 months, Section II won by CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. involves the hydraulic works of Berth 2 and the revetment of the north connection segment; With a contract value of 154 million yuan and a construction period of 17 months, Section I won by CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. involves the hydraulic works of Berth 1 and the revetment of the north connection segment.

The project will play a significant role in improving the capacity of Guangxi’s coastal ports for large vessel handling, promoting the integrated construction of ports in Guangxi and pushing forward the coordinated development of the regional economy of the Beibu Gulf.
