TIMCO Opens CNG Fueling Station in Orange County, USA

TIMCO CNG is hosting a grand opening of its first public-access CNG fueling station in Orange County which will provide consumer and fleet drivers of NGVs a convenient fueling option between Los Angeles and San Diego.

TIMCO CNG is confident that building alternative fuel infrastructure will increase public awareness of the viability and significant benefits of using natural gas as a transportation fuel,” said Jonah Schnel, Managing Member of TIMCO CNG.

TIMCO CNG plans to offer competitive fuel prices to attract the existing NGVs as well as encourage motorists to convert or replace gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles with cleaner burning NGVs that help improve air quality in the Southern California. NGVs emit 97% less carbon monoxide, 95% less particulate matter, 87% less nitrogen oxides, and up to 25% less carbon emissions than equivalent diesel vehicles.

This new TIMCO CNG station was awarded a grant from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC), an organization within the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), that provides Clean Transportation Funding to projects in the South Coast air basin. The MSRC collects Clean Transportation Funding from a $4 surcharge on vehicle license fees and disperses funds to projects designed to reduce air pollution from mobile sources.
