Norway-based compressor supplier TMC Compressors said Monday it has secured a contract by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering to supply a marine compressed air system to a floating storage and regasification unit.

TMC’s scope of work includes engineering, manufacturing and supply of a complete compressed air system for the FSRU, which is being built by DSME for Singapore-based gas shipping giant BW.

Under the contract, TMC will supply 3 x 40 kW frequency controlled control air compressors and 3 x 40 kW service air compressors.

The company did not reveal the value of the deal.

DSME is currently building the 173,400-cbm FSRU at its Okpo shipyard in South Korea. The vessel is expected to be delivered in November 2019.
