Tokyo Gas August sales rise 8.3 pct

Total gas sales volume by Japan’s Tokyo Gas for the month of August came to about 1,174.995 million m3, up 8.3% compared to that in August last year.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 130.634 million m3, up 3.2% from August 2013, while in the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 248.55 million m3, down 4.8% from August 2013.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 623.342 million m3, up 16.6% from August 2013.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 172.468 million m3, up 6.2% from August 2013, due to the increased demand of the other companies.
