The following is a video that shows a 450 monopile being loaded out from Steel Engineering Ltd in Renfrew to begin the first leg of its journey along the river Cart. Its final destination is the East Anglia Offshore wind zone.
Technip Offshore Wind has started offshore operations on an array cable installation contract for phase 1 of the Borkum Wind Farm development, located 45 kilometers to the North of the German island of Borkum, in the North Sea.
The North East’s first large scale offshore wind farm has now started to produce electricity as work continues towards completion of the project.
On Wednesday 24th April 2013, Alicat Workboats Ltd. formally unveiled and christened the yard’s new boat hoist during an open day attended by over 250 guests. The open day showcased the many new developments and divisions created by Alicat Workboats over the last few months.
