CB&I Wins Wheatstone LNG Work

CB&I said it has been awarded a contract by Bechtel valued in excess of US$625 million to provide structural, mechanical and piping construction work for all outside battery limits modules and associated units for the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project at Ashburton North in Western Australia.

CB&I, Chiyoda Nab USD 6 Bln Cameron LNG Contract

CB&I and Chiyoda Corporation said that the joint venture between CB&I and Chiyoda International Corporation, a U.S. based wholly-owned subsidiary of Chiyoda, has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $6 billion by Cameron LNG to construct the Cameron Liquefaction Project in Hackberry, La.

Chevron: Gorgon LNG Project 78 Percent Complete

Chevron said that the company’s US$54 billion Gorgon LNG project in Australia is 78 percent complete, with 65 percent of the LNG already committed under long-term contracts.

BG: Europe to Continue to Balance Global LNG Market

Europe received net imports of only 35 million tonnes of LNG in 2013, the lowest volumes for nearly a decade as the rapidly increasing appetite for energy in Asia and Latin America drew supply, according to BG Group’s annual Global LNG Market Overview.

DSME Bags Ice-Class LNG Tanker Order

South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has secured a US$316 million (339.3 billion won) order from Sovcomflot to build an ice-class LNG tanker to transport liquefied natural gas produced at the Yamal LNG project in Russia, DSME said in a filling to the stock exchange.
