Australia Pacific LNG: The LNG Story (VIDEO)

Australia Pacific LNG, a joint venture between Origin (37.5%), ConocoPhillips (37.5%) and Sinopec (25%), posted an interesting video showing the properties of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

South Korea: Shell Lays Keel for Prelude FLNG

In an important step, Shell has laid the keel for Prelude FLNG, the world’s first floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project. When complete, Prelude is expected to be the largest offshore floating facility ever built. The hull will now be assembled in the dry dock, before the turret and the topsides are fitted at Samsung Heavy Industries’ Geoje shipyard in South Korea.

LNG Terminal in Singapore Starts Commercial Operations

Singapore’s energy sector marks a significant milestone today, as its Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal receives its first commercial cargo and commences commercial operations.

BG, CNOOC Finalize QCLNG Deal (Australia)

BG Group announced it has signed binding agreements with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) for the sale of certain additional interests in the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project in Australia for $1.93 billion and for the supply of an additional 5 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas.
