1. DCN Divers Rescue Survivor from Jascon 4 (Nigeria)

On Sunday 26 May, the tugboat Jascon 4 ran into difficulties whilst engaged in static towing operations, capsized and sank with a crew of 12 on board.

2. Seaway Heavy Lifting to Transport and Install Gullfaks Wet Gas Compression Unit

Seaway Heavy Lifting has been awarded a heavy lift contract from Subsea 7. This contract is part of Subsea 7’s main contract with Statoil for the Gullfaks Subsea Compression Project in Norway.

3. Samsung Secures Order to Build World’s Largest FPSO

Samsung Heavy Industries’ Nigerian subsidiary announces the award of a new order to build an FPSO vessel worth around $3 billion.

5. Fifth Subsea Platform Installed on Costa Concordia Site, Italy

In the last few days on Giglio island platform n° 2 has been installed. It is the fifth of 6 subsea platforms that will provide a safe supporting structure for the wreck after it is rotated into a vertical position (“parbuckling”, as this is known).
